I started it all

Some of you might remember, back in 1997 I created a website (which has since mysteriously disappeared) on Geocities. I created it in hopes that Becky and I could keep our friends and family in the loop on our goings-on, since we moved so far away from home. I posted some pics and gave a brief history of how we met, etc. My purpose was to update the website periodically.... though that never really happened.

I was thinking about that old website as I signed up for this "blog", and thought hey, wasn't that really a weblog back then? Why didn't I coin the term and go public? Maybe I could have created MySpace.com or something.

So anyway, back to reality: I'm hoping that this attempt to keep everyone informed of our increasingly growing family will be more successful this go around. We'll upload some pics and videos, and let everyone know what the girls are up to. Keep in touch!

This week-end was so great. You and Becky have the best little girls in this world. They are so well behaved and we were amazed. Our hats off to you, Jim, for giving this a try by yourself. Not many dads would venture out on their own like you did. The girls took to us and our house like they had always been here. That's definitely a compliment to the nth. We hope they will always feel comfortable here and know they are always a part of us as ya'll do. Becky, Emmy tried so hard to help me make blueberry pancakes. Thus, the burn on her arm. She reached across and she touched the pan before either of us knew it. I got a wet cold towel with a cube of ice in it and immediately held it on there. She said it never burned. I sure was glad. I felt imcompetent there for awhile. But she went on about her business when we put something on it and bandaged it. We had such a blast!
Love and hugs
